“Jae'Lah Kobra's provincial electro-hop is unique on the scene, with a different take on melody and the beat, he is sure to stand out.”

Influenced by the likes of Dr. Dre, NF, 2pac, Professor Green, and Tinie Tempah, Jae'Lah combines rich, energetic drum beats with lively melodies and an honest delivery, creating a blend of modern and vintage hip-hop, tinged with electro, for fans across the decades.

He grew up in rural Norfolk, an environment synonymous with birdsong, picturesque countryside and whispering trees.

The solitude of this environment gives him a take on the echoing themes of freedom and dreams, distinct from the concrete rattle of the metropolis. An eccentric lyrical style that aspires toward the wide horizon.

Kobra discovered his skill for poetry as a cathartic release. In his early teenage years he would write letters and poems which later evolved into song lyrics. Performing a cappella to friends brought positive reactions and he set about learning digital production in order to create the musical backdrop for his voice, and further diversified his skills by studying Music Business at BIMM University in 2021.

Currently working on an album for release in the autumn of 2025, several earlier tracks are available to stream on Soundcloud.

In June 2019, his original instrumental track titled ‘The Introduction’ was placed at #8 on the Repost Exchange’s Hip-Hop/Urban top 40 chart, and #11 on the Re-EX top 40 chart.

“Loving the originality! Really cool sound, nicely done!” - Repost Exchange.
